Supporters of the Duterte family gather at the Supreme Court of the Philippines to call for a temporary restraining order (TRO) on the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte.
On Monday, the group staged a protest outside the Supreme Court, urging the justices to act on their petition.
According to Eduardo Laurencio, the impeachment issue should be addressed promptly, as it does not provide solutions to widespread hunger, poverty, and the hardships faced by Filipinos.
During the protest, Duterte supporters also stressed that the administration is prioritizing the impeachment proceedings despite rising oil prices.
They are also seeking emergency powers related to the situation and called for the repeal of the Oil Deregulation Law.
Meanwhile, Laurencio said that the petition seeking the return of former President Rodrigo Duterte from The Hague remains pending.
