DOE: Big fuel price rollback expected this week amid global oil price movement

Fuel consumers across the Philippines may expect a significant rollback in oil prices starting this week according to officials reports.

Diesel prices may drop to P20.89 per liter, while gasoline and kerosene may also decrease significantly based on projections data.

Department of Energy Secretary Sharon Garin announced the projected rollback during briefing yesterday, April 12, 2026, in Manila Philippines update.

The rollback is expected to take effect from April 14 until April 20 across various fuel stations nationwide coverage period.

Officials said the adjustment reflects movements in world oil prices over the past five trading days recently observed globally tracked.

Consumers are expected to benefit from lower transport and energy costs following the announced price reductions nationwide in coming weeks.

Despite the rollback, Garin warned fuel prices will not return to sixty peso levels due disruptions in global supply chains.
