As Ramadan begins, OPAPRU calls collective prayers for peace

The Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) is calling on Filipino Muslims to come together in prayer, fostering unity and hope forjust and lasting peacein the country as Ramadan begins.

Presidential Peace Adviser Carlito Galvez Jr. emphasized that Ramadan strengthens the values of compassion, solidarity, and the pursuit of peace among Filipinos.

He highlighted how the Muslim community deepens its connection with Allah and renews its commitment to sacrifice, unity, and devotion during this sacred period.

As the Holy Month unfolds, Galvez urged Filipinos to reflect on the wisdom and guidance of the Islamic faith while praying for enduring peace in the country.

He also wished the Muslim community good health, happiness, and prosperity during this sacred time.

The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos announced that Ramadan in the Philippines will officially begin on Sunday after observers failed to sight the crescent moon on Friday.
