An American and a Filipina were found dead inside their home in Barangay Bajumpandan, Dumaguete City, early Wednesday, Sept. 2.
Based on the initial investigation, two unidentified men allegedly attacked the couple before fleeing the area.
PCPT Stephen Jaynard Polinar, spokesperson for the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office, said in an interview with Brigada News Dumaguete that both victims sustained gunshot wounds. Authorities have not yet released their names.
Police are still determining how many gunshot wounds each victim sustained.
The couple also had a helper, who is scheduled to give a statement to authorities as part of the ongoing investigation.
Meanwhile, the Dumaguete City Police Station has already identified a person of interest in connection with the incident.
