Senator Erwin Tulfo said alleged coup attempts to replace the current Senate leadership are still ongoing.
According to Tulfo, efforts to change the leadership in the Senate have not stopped.
He described the current numbers as “tempting,” saying the bloc now stands at 12-11.
He added that if just one senator from the majority side switches, the “boxing” match is over.
With the whereabouts of Senator Ronald dela Rosa still unclear, the majority bloc has reportedly been reduced to only 12 members.
Last week, Dela Rosa had to appear at the Senate after months of absence in order to secure the required 13 votes that led to Senator Alan Peter Cayetano replacing Tito Sotto as Senate President.
It can be recalled that talks of a possible coup against Cayetano intensified following the shooting incident that occurred in the Senate last week.
