The leak of sensitive information is one reason why presidential appointees in the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) have been ordered to submit their courtesy resignations.
According to newly appointed PCO Head Secretary Jay Ruiz, there have been incidents of leaks or spreading of sensitive information within the office, despite all documents and orders being confidential.
Ruiz confirmed that Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin issued the order requiring all appointees to submit courtesy resignations.
In addition to the leaks, Ruiz acknowledged intrigue and disintegration within the agency also affect their work.
Ruiz stated that this move is part of the directives to be followed as the agency needs to change.
Several presidential appointees, including officials appointed by former acting PCO Secretary Cesar Chavez, have submitted their courtesy resignations.
Ruiz explained that these resignations will undergo thorough evaluation to determine whether the individuals should stay or leave their posts.
Furthermore, Ruiz urged PCO employees to stop corruption and focus on their work for better public service.
