57-year-old man found dead at quarry site in Lebak

A 57-year-old man was found dead at a quarry site in Barangay Pansud, Lebak, Sultan Kudarat, prompting police investigation.

Authorities identified the victim as Andronico Tobis, a resident of Sitio Center 2, Barangay Taguisa, who was found lifeless there.

A truck driver noticed Tobis at the quarry site and immediately reported the discovery to the proper authorities for assistance.

Andrew Von Anibong, Tobis’ companion, said the victim helped workers repair a dam in Sitio Lanasan, Barangay Pansud.

Anibong said Tobis participated in the ongoing work before authorities discovered him lifeless at the quarry site in Lebak.

The victim’s daughter, Judy Ann Tobis, expressed shock and disbelief after learning about her father’s death at the quarry site.

She said the sudden death left their family struggling to understand what happened to her father before his death.

Police Lieutenant Glenn G. Gialogo, Deputy Chief of Police at Lebak Municipal Police Station, confirmed the ongoing investigation into Tobis’ death.

According to Gialogo, investigators continue examining the circumstances surrounding the incident and gathering information from people who knew Tobis.

Police are also checking available evidence to determine what happened before authorities discovered Tobis at the quarry site.

Investigators are determining whether another person may have been involved in the circumstances surrounding Tobis’ death in Barangay Pansud.

Authorities have yet to establish whether foul play occurred as investigators continue reviewing evidence and interviewing potential witnesses.

Police continue gathering information to determine the circumstances surrounding Tobis’ death and provide answers to his grieving family.
