The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has extended until August 18, 2026, the deadline for filing and paying taxes for taxpayers in areas affected by the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.
Under Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 95-2026, taxpayers covered by the previous extension will be given an additional day to comply with their tax obligations without incurring penalties.
The extension also covers taxpayers who were unable to submit their requirements due to technical issues with the eBIRForms Offline Package.
It applies to tax obligations originally due from August 10 to 16, including withholding tax and income tax returns.
The BIR also directed Authorized Agent Banks to accept covered tax returns and payments without penalties until August 18.
However, the agency clarified that taxpayers not covered by RMC No. 89-2026 are excluded from the extension and must continue using the Electronic Filing and Payment System, or eFPS.
