A dog named TikTok is now recovering after being shot five times with arrows in Hacienda Puyas, Barangay Blumentritt, Murcia, Negros Occidental.
The wounded dog was rescued by an animal welfare NGO and rushed to a veterinary clinic in Bacolod City for emergency treatment. Despite his injuries, TikTok underwent successful surgery and is now under close monitoring. To encourage witnesses to come forward, an initial ₱10,000 reward was offered for information leading to the suspect’s identification and arrest. As more individuals expressed their anger and support, the reward quickly increased to ₱65,000, and later surged beyond ₱150,000 as additional pledges poured in.
Authorities and animal rights groups continue to seek leads in identifying the perpetrator. They urge anyone with information to report to the local police or reach out to the NGO assisting TikTok’s case.
