Three employees of a gas station in Barangay Bolocboloc were arrested over the alleged illegal sale of petroleum products, according to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).
The CIDG Negros Oriental Provincial Field Unit, together with the Sibulan Municipal Police Station, conducted the operation on Sept. 25.
According to the CIDG, the three employees were caught allegedly selling gasoline without the required Certificate of Compliance (COC) from the Department of Energy (DOE).
Authorities also seized two fuel machines containing gasoline. The petroleum products were estimated to be worth ₱1.3 million.
The operation was conducted in Barangay Bolocboloc, Sibulan, Negros Oriental.
The three arrested employees may face charges for alleged violations of Batas Pambansa Bilang 33, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 1865.
The law covers illegal trading of petroleum products.
The operation involved the seizure of the two fuel machines and the arrest of the three gas station employees.
Authorities said the alleged sale of gasoline was conducted without the required DOE Certificate of Compliance.
The case stems from the operation conducted by the CIDG provincial field unit with the Sibulan police.
