The Municipality of Don Carlos was officially declared insurgency-free through Sangguniang Bayan Resolution No. 001-2025 during a ceremony at JMZ Astrodome on February 25.
Brigadier General Marion Angcao, Commander of the 1003rd Brigade, credited the 10th Infantry Division, local government, police, and other stakeholders for their efforts in securing peace. The event, themed “Strength Through Unity: A New Era of Peace and Security,” reaffirmed the commitment to long-term stability.
This milestone follows similar declarations in San Fernando, Kadingilan, Damulog, Dangcagan, and Kibawe, marking Bukidnon’s continuous progress toward peace and development.
“This achievement paves the way for economic growth, social progress, and a better quality of life for Don Carlos residents,” said Brig. Gen. Angcao.
The event concluded with a symbolic release of doves and balloons, signifying the municipality’s dedication to maintaining peace and security.
