DepEd allows private schools to shift to blended learning

Private schools are now allowed to shift to a blended learning system without prior approval.

This comes after the Department of Education (DepEd) assured flexibility amid the need to conserve electricity during the national energy emergency.

In a memorandum, DepEd emphasized that private schools may continue with five-day in-person classes or implement blended learning.

Education Secretary Sonny Angara said they understand the challenges faced by private schools.

He added that the goal is to give them the flexibility to address rising operational costs while maintaining the quality of education.
