A Filipino doctor has been reported missing in Northern Nepal following a flash flood on Aug. 26, prompting his family to seek assistance from the Philippine government and Nepalese authorities.
Dr. Juan Carlos Manalo’s family is appealing to anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.
According to his sister, Chiara Manalo, the family last spoke with Juan Carlos on Aug. 25 at around 1 p.m., Philippine time.
Manalo reportedly traveled with the Isha Sadhguru group as part of the Kailashyatra tour. The group was last seen at the Immigration Office in Gyirong, near the Nepal-China border.
His family continues to coordinate with concerned government agencies to facilitate communication with Nepalese authorities and assist in the ongoing search operations.
The family is seeking help from anyone who may have information about Manalo’s whereabouts as coordination efforts continue.
