Vice President Sara Duterte gave a brief response when asked about circulating issues regarding the health of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., saying only, “Good luck sa kaniya!”
The vice president made the remark while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the 84th commemoration of Araw ng Kagitingan at the Veterans Memorial Monument in Davao City.
Duterte did not provide further details after issuing the short statement about the reports spreading on social media regarding the president’s health condition.
The comment came amid continued online discussions and speculation related to Marcos’ health. No additional clarification was offered by the vice president during the event.
Earlier, President Marcos assured the public that he remains in good condition and continues to perform his duties as the country’s chief executive.
He also urged the public not to easily believe information circulating on social media without verification.
The Araw ng Kagitingan event commemorates the bravery and sacrifices of Filipino soldiers who fought during World War II. Government officials and members of the public gathered at the Veterans Memorial Monument in Davao City to honor veterans and remember the nation’s history.
During the ceremony, national leaders joined wreath-laying activities and paid tribute to the courage of Filipino servicemen who defended the country during wartime.
The vice president’s brief remark drew attention due to the ongoing public interest surrounding reports about the president’s health, although no official confirmation of any health concern has been released.
Officials continue to remind the public to rely on verified information and official announcements regarding matters involving national leaders.
