Authorities continue search and rescue operations for those affected by the twin earthquakes that struck Venezuela last week.
The death toll has climbed to at least 1,450, as rescue teams reach La Guaira, one of the areas hardest hit by the earthquakes.
According to estimates by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the death toll could eventually exceed 10,000.
Officials said the chances of finding survivors trapped beneath the rubble continue to decline as more time passes.
Meanwhile, at least 3,150 people have been injured, more than 12,721 have been displaced, and over 700 buildings have collapsed following the magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 earthquakes.
