The Teachers’ Dignity Coalition (TDC) underscored its call for justice, freedom, and a dignified life for Filipinos, as the group joined yesterday’s anti-corruption protest.
In a statement, the TDC said trillions of pesos have been stolen through flood control scams and other forms of corruption.
They stressed that Filipinos continue to suffer—struggling to make ends meet, facing livelihood shortages, and lacking proper nutrition.
The education sector is also heavily affected, with teachers and personnel receiving low salaries, inadequate benefits, insufficient school facilities, and lacking essential teaching materials.
Because of this, the group continues to demand accountability for corrupt officials, the imprisonment of plunderers, the return of stolen public funds, and the allocation of the budget toward education and social services.
