Palace denies report Marcos Jr. was rushed to hospital

Malacañang on Saturday denied circulating reports claiming that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. had been rushed to a hospital.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the information spreading online was false and clarified that the president remains in good health.

According to Castro, Marcos continued working throughout the day despite it being a Saturday.

She said the president even attended a private meeting earlier in the morning with members of the Presidential Management Staff.

The Palace issued the clarification after rumors circulated suggesting that the chief executive had been hospitalized.

Castro emphasized that there was no truth to the claim and reassured the public that Marcos remains capable of performing his duties.

The clarification comes weeks after the president was diagnosed with diverticulitis, a condition that caused him to temporarily limit his public engagements outside Malacañang.

Because of the diagnosis, Marcos had reduced appearances at events and activities beyond the Palace in previous weeks.

However, recent days have seen the president return to a series of engagements in different parts of the country.

Malacañang did not provide additional details regarding the circulating report but reiterated that the president was not rushed to any hospital.

The Palace maintained that Marcos continues to fulfill his responsibilities and remains active in government work.

Officials said the president’s schedule in recent days reflects his return to normal activities after the earlier health concern.

The Palace statement sought to address public speculation by confirming that Marcos was working and attending official meetings instead of being hospitalized.

Castro said the president’s participation in the morning meeting with the Presidential Management Staff demonstrated that he remains actively involved in government operations.
