The New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) reported that passenger traffic at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) reached 4.96 million in January 2026.
This is considered the highest monthly passenger volume on record, making January the busiest month in the airport’s history.
According to NNIC, the surge followed the strong holiday travel period from December 20, 2025 to January 4, 2026, during which nearly 2.6 million passengers traveled through all NAIA terminals.
The airport operator also said the travel peak began on January 4, 2026, when 180,089 travelers passed through the airport.
This figure marks the highest single-day passenger volume recorded at NAIA to date.
