Several complainants maintained that the impeachment complaint they filed against President Bongbong Marcos was “very sufficient,” despite its dismissal by the House Justice Committee for alleged “insufficiency in substance.”
Former Representative Liza Maza said the complaint contained a clear recital of facts pointing to impeachable offenses.
She added that the filing also included attachments with supporting evidence.
Despite these, the impeachment complaint failed to advance in the committee.
Because of this, Maza described any possible reversal of the House’s decision as nothing short of a miracle.
Former Representative France Castro likewise said the chances of overturning the decision are already very slim.
Meanwhile, former Representative Mike Defensor remarked that it would be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for Congress to approve the impeachment of President Marcos.
