Midnight blast rocks Bohol restaurant in Tagbilaran City

A powerful explosion rocked a restaurant in Barangay Dampas, Tagbilaran City, Bohol  early Friday morning, August 15, causing damage but no reported injuries.

Police said the blast occurred past 2 a.m., shaking the area and bringing down the establishment’s ceiling. Glass shards scattered across the dining area following the impact.

Authorities confirmed that no one was inside the restaurant when the explosion happened, sparing injuries.

The force of the blast also triggered a temporary blackout in parts of Barangay Dampas. Power was restored around 3 a.m., about an hour after the incident.
