A live-in couple was shot dead inside their home in Barangay Pili 1-2-3, Hamtic, Antique, around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24.
Police identified the victims only as Alias Angelita, 50, and Jonathan, 51. According to PLT. Sirlan Mabaquiao, Deputy Chief of Hamtic Municipal Police Station, the two were watching a video on a cellphone and drinking coconut wine, locally known as tuba, when the suspect barged in and opened fire.
Angelita was shot in the chest and face, while Jonathan sustained gunshot wounds to the head and other parts of the body. Both were declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
Police said no empty shells were found at the scene, only metal slugs, indicating that the weapon used may have been a revolver. The identity of the suspect remains unknown.
Authorities are continuing their investigation and are working to determine the motive behind the attack.
