Catholic leaders call for prayers for peace amid Middle East tensions

Catholic Church leaders are urging the faithful to take part in peaceful action in response to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

In a social media post, Ruperto Santos, Bishop of Antipolo, called on the public to remain committed to peace, justice, and reconciliation.

He said that as Christians, they are called to be peacemakers and to remain mindful of the suffering of others.

Santos emphasized that whenever conflict arises, innocent people are affected, families are torn apart, and hatred grows where love should prevail.

Meanwhile, Jose Cardinal Advincula, Archbishop of Manila, also appealed to the faithful to pray the rosary for peace and unity.
