According to separate advisories from oil companies, the price of diesel will be increased by up to 2.10 per liter, gasoline by 1.50 per liter and kerosene by 1.20 per liter.
The price hike was announced by oil companies including Sea Oil, Petro Gazz, Shell Pilipinas and Caltex.
Last week, the price of gasoline was reduced to P0.10 per liter, while diesel increased by 0.75 per liter and kerosene by P0.50 per liter.
Department of Energy Assistant Director Rodela Romero said the rise in prices in the world market is the result of a series of hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico, where the United States has oil rigs.
The depreciation of the peso against the dollar also contributes to the oil price hikes.
