The Palarong Pambansa 2026 will push through despite the ongoing surge in oil prices, according to Secretary General Usec. Malcolm Garma.
During the Final Technical Conference held at the Provincial Learning Center, Garma emphasized that while the national sports event will continue as scheduled, adjustments will be made in terms of expenditures.
Meanwhile, Agusan del Sur Governor Santiago Cane Jr. assured that the province is fully prepared and committed to hosting the event.
He said Agusan del Sur is ready for the Palarong Pambansa 2026 and encouraged partners to match the discipline and strength of the country’s athletes.
The governor also urged stakeholders to work together in turning what he described as a “long-held dream” into a successful reality.
The Palarong Pambansa 2026 is set to take place from May 24 to 31 this year.
