This was the assertion of witness Ramil Madriaga amid his testimony in the impeachment proceedings against Sara Duterte at the House of Representatives.
During the hearing of the House Committee on Justice, House Deputy Speaker Janette Garin asked Madriaga what prompted him to make the serious allegations contained in his supplemental affidavit.
Madriaga responded that no one had promised him freedom in exchange for his testimony.
He also said that no one forced him to disclose what he knows.
He maintained that his only intention is to reveal the truth, including statements involving former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.
