Witness Ramil Madriaga made a series of revelations during the impeachment proceedings against Sara Duterte before the House Committee on Justice.
One of the key issues raised was the alleged spending of ₱125 million in confidential funds from the Office of the Vice President.
During the hearing, Madriaga claimed that he spent the funds on behalf of Duterte and was able to complete the disbursement within just a few hours—less than a full day.
In his 24-page supplementary affidavit, he clarified that earlier reports stating the funds were spent over 11 days were incorrect.
He stated, “I personally disposed of the money in less than 24 hours.”
The ₱125 million issue previously drew significant attention during an earlier attempt to impeach the Vice President last year.
Meanwhile, Vice President Duterte did not attend the House Committee on Justice hearing.
