A 23-year-old man was badly beaten by a group of men along Bula-Lagao Road in General Santos City leaving the victim with visible injuries and in need of urgent medical attention.
The victim, identified as Brendmar Vincent Juaman, a mechanic and the primary breadwinner for his family. According to his family, Juaman was ambushed by the group after a confrontation at a nearby bar. The family believes that the altercation escalated outside the establishment, resulting in the violent attack.
The family further revealed that they are familiar with at least two of the suspects involved in the assault. One of the individuals is reportedly a basketball varsity player and a student at a local college in General Santos City. The family has appealed for justice and has called on anyone with information to come forward.
The victim’s family has also requested assistance from the public through Brigada News to help cover the mounting medical expenses. They are calling on the remaining suspects to take responsibility for their actions and contribute to the victim’s treatment costs.
In an emotional plea, Juaman’s relatives urge the suspects to come forward, as the young man remains in critical condition and faces an uncertain recovery.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the assault, while Juaman’s family remains hopeful that justice will prevail, and the perpetrators will be held accountable.
