Two rallyists arrested at EDSA rally post bail

The group Samahan ng Progresibong Kabataan (SPARK) announced that its two members who were arrested by police have already posted bail.

According to authorities, the arrest of the rallyists was related to the commotion that occurred during activities marking the anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.

In a statement, the group said that although their members were “unjustly detained” for three days, their resolve remains strong because they believe they stand on the side of justice and truth.

They added that while the case is not yet over, the courage and strength of the youth and the people in the fight for justice and freedom remain unwavering.

The group also vowed to hold the Philippine National Police accountable for alleged abuses and called for an independent investigation.
