The Teacher’s Dignity Coalition (TDC) emphasized that the youth are among those most affected by ongoing conflicts in other parts of the world and their impact on the Philippines.
In a statement, the group said that the education, health, and lives of children are being put at risk.
Because of this, they called for accountability from individuals, groups, and those in positions of power who initiated wars, possibly driven by economic or political interests.
According to the TDC, powerful nations should not recklessly attack other countries.
Amid the worsening energy crisis, the group stressed that the country must be prepared.
The Philippines, they said, should implement measures to ensure the protection of the public—especially vulnerable sectors and ordinary citizens.
Aside from this, the group also maintained that taxes on petroleum products should be suspended, along with laws that add to the burden of Filipinos.
