SSS contribution rate increased to 15%

The Social Security System (SSS) in the Philippines has implemented a new contribution rate of 15%, effective January 1, 2025. This increase, applicable to all members—both mandatory and voluntary—marks a 1% adjustment from the previous rate of 14%.

This change is part of the incremental adjustments mandated by the Social Security Act of 2018. The law aims to strengthen the pension fund’s sustainability by increasing the contribution rate by 1% every two years.
