Six suspected drug personalities were arrested after authorities raided a drug den in the town of Calabanga, Camarines Sur, on the afternoon of Jan. 19, 2026.
The operation was carried out by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Camarines Sur, in coordination with the Philippine National Police Calabanga. The raid took place in Barangay San Roque following reports of illegal drug activity in the area.
Authorities said the six suspects were caught in the act while allegedly engaged in illegal drug activities, leading to their immediate arrest during the operation.
Seized from the scene were several plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, along with assorted drug paraphernalia. The confiscated illegal drugs were estimated to be worth about ₱81,600, according to authorities.
The identities of the arrested individuals were not disclosed in the initial report. Officials said the suspects are currently under the custody of the PDEA while documentation and investigation are ongoing.
Authorities said the six arrested individuals will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The PDEA said the operation was part of continuing efforts to curb illegal drug activities and dismantle drug dens in the province. The agency added that coordination with local police units remains essential in enforcing anti-illegal drug laws at the community level.
No injuries were reported during the operation, and authorities said the raid was conducted in accordance with standard procedures.
The seized items were properly marked and inventoried as part of the case buildup against the suspects. Further details are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
