The Department of Tourism (DOT) is aiming to deepen cooperation as part of the next phase of cruise tourism growth in the country.
During the Asia Cruise Cooperation (ACC) Annual Regional Meeting, Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco announced that starting in 2026, the DOT—together with the Department of Transportation and the Philippine Ports Authority—will strengthen the Cruise Tourism Development Committee to enhance coordination and the implementation of the National Cruise Tourism Development Strategy.
Frasco noted that the cruise market in Asia is rapidly expanding, with millions of travelers eager to experience cruise tourism.
She added that strong collaboration among ports, cruise lines, and the government will help ensure a seamless, enjoyable, and meaningful experience for travelers.
The government, she said, continues to take steps to strengthen cruise tourism policies and infrastructure in the Philippines.
