The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has confirmed that Philippine eVisa operations in China have resumed, following a soft launch over the weekend.
Full implementation begins today at the Philippine Embassy in Beijing, including other foreign service posts across China.
Under the new system, Chinese citizens residing in mainland China, Macao, and Hong Kong may apply for Philippine eVisas for tourism and business purposes, provided they enter the country through the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Metro Manila or the Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Cebu.
The eVisa will be valid for a single-use, non-extendable, and non-convertible 14-day entry.
Aside from eVisas, other Chinese nationals—and eligible foreign nationals residing in China—may still apply for conventional sticker visas through Visa Application Centers in Beijing, Chongqing, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.
According to the DFA, the move supports the Philippines’ continuing efforts to enhance people-to-people exchanges, strengthen trade and tourism cooperation, and boost the country’s tourism sector.
