PCW, condemns alleged sexist remarks of Rep. Bong Suntay

The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) has denounced the alleged sexist and “objectifying” remarks made by Quezon City Representative Bong Suntay during a House Committee on Justice hearing.

During the hearing, Suntay mentioned that he felt a surge of “heat” upon seeing actress Anne Curtis.

In an official statement, the PCW said the comment was not a simple joke but a form of “sexual objectification” against women.
