Only one in three Filipinos considers themselves “very happy,” according to the latest survey released by Social Weather Stations (SWS).
The survey, conducted in November 2025 among 1,200 adult respondents, found that 33% described themselves as “very happy.” The results were released a day before the International Day of Happiness observed on Friday.
A majority of respondents, or 50%, said they were “fairly happy.” Meanwhile, 15% reported being “not very happy,” and 2% said they were “not at all happy.”
SWS noted that the 33% “very happy” rating in November 2025 was slightly higher than the 31% recorded in March 2025. However, it was lower than the 34% posted in December 2024.
The same survey also measured satisfaction with life. Only 28% of respondents said they were “very satisfied” with their lives.
More than half, or 51%, described themselves as “fairly satisfied.” Meanwhile, 14% said they were “not very satisfied,” and 7% reported being “not at all satisfied.”
The findings highlight a gap between those who consider themselves fully satisfied or happy and those who rate their well-being more moderately or negatively.
SWS did not provide further breakdowns in the released summary but emphasized the changes in ratings compared to previous survey periods.
The data offers a snapshot of how Filipinos assess their overall happiness and life satisfaction based on self-reported responses.
