Naga Mayor Leni Robredo rules out 2028 national bid

Leni Robredo said she will not run for a national position in the 2028 elections.

In an interview, Robredo emphasized that she is certain about her decision not to pursue any national post.

She said that while she has already implemented several initiatives in Naga City, there is still much work to be done in the city.

Robredo also noted that a three-year term feels too short to accomplish all her plans.

She admitted that this is “frustrating,” given the many programs she hopes to carry out in Naga.

Because of this, she said she is considering running for a second term as mayor.
