A married couple was found dead after being hacked by an unidentified suspect inside their home in Barangay Kaatuan, Lantapan, Bukidnon police reported.
The victims, identified as Condrado Alejan, 66, and his wife, Catherin Alejan, residents of Purok 7 in the same barangay, were discovered lifeless at around 7 a.m. on August 5, 2025. Authorities believe the attack happened the night before, on August 4.
Initial investigation by the Lantapan Municipal Police Station revealed that the couple sustained multiple hack wounds on different parts of their bodies. The male victim suffered severe mutilation, including the amputation of his genitals.
Police said the motive for the killing remains unclear, and investigators have yet to identify the suspect.
The double killing has shocked the quiet community of Purok 6, where the crime occurred. Authorities are appealing to anyone with information that could help solve the case to immediately contact local police.
As of press time, the investigation is ongoing, with officers pursuing all possible leads.
