President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expressed pride and satisfaction over the Philippines’ economic performance in 2024, citing significant progress achieved through strategic government reforms and infrastructure initiatives.
Speaking at the 24th National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Board meeting yesterday, Marcos acknowledged the government’s ongoing efforts to implement transformative policies and projects. While some initiatives may take years to complete, the president emphasized their potential long-term impact on the nation’s development.
However, Marcos stressed the importance of keeping ordinary citizens informed. He called on government agencies to better communicate the details of these projects, including those still in progress, to ensure transparency and public awareness.
Highlighting one such project, the president mentioned the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge. This long-awaited infrastructure aims to ease traffic congestion in Metro Manila and significantly reduce travel time across Central Luzon and CALABARZON.
