The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has released an updated list of areas where a 60-day price freeze on basic necessities and prime commodities is being implemented following the impact of recent typhoons and the continuing effects of the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.
Based on the latest DTI advisory, the entire province of Bulacan was placed under a price freeze starting August 17 until October 16, 2026.
Also covered by the price freeze are the municipalities of Bugallon and Sta. Barbara in Pangasinan, Nasugbu in Batangas, and the entire province of Pampanga.
The DTI said the measure aims to keep prices of essential goods stable and affordable as affected communities continue their rehabilitation and recovery from the effects of the calamities.
