Kabankalan MSMEs prove their mettle at Negros Trade showcase

Local producers from Kabankalan City took home several major awards during the 33rd Bulawan Awards, 4th Pilak Awards, and 3rd ANP-PGNO Balik Salig Design Competition, which were held alongside the local launch of the 40th Negros Trade Fair at SM City Bacolod on Friday, May 29.

Among the winners was Bulak’s Food Products, which emerged as champion in the Beverage Tea Category.

Bevz Handicrafts earned the Best in Bag Design, while Bevelyn Fernan’s Kumpay Tubo Achara was recognized in the Most Unique Food Category.

Kabankalan Kapatiran secured two awards, winning Best in the Novelty Category and Champion in the Home Furnishing Category. 

Meanwhile, Pamana Recipe Granola was named Most Innovative Product in the flour-based category.

Also recognized for excellent product participation were Oyens Food Products and Bobette’s Delicacies.

In a statement, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Negosyo Center in the city said the “achievements showcase the creativity, innovation, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurial excellence of Kabankalanon producers. Congratulations and may you continue to inspire and uplift the local micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) community of Kabankalan City.”

Meanwhile, the City Government of Kabankalan received a Special Citation for its participation in the trade fair.*
