Actress Gee Canlas has confirmed that she and her husband, Archie Alemania, have separated.
In an interview with Boy Abunda on March 3, Gee shared that she initiated the separation, describing the decision as difficult and something she carefully thought through.
She clarified that it was not a mutual decision and that she was the one who chose to end the relationship. According to her, she feels she should have made the decision earlier.
The actress admitted that deciding to separate was challenging, especially since having a family had always been her dream.
Gee also said she has not yet considered filing for annulment, adding that her priority right now is their son, Caleb.
Meanwhile, she clarified that the acts of lasciviousness case filed by Rita Daniela against Archie was not the reason for their separation.
Speculation about their breakup began circulating on social media after Gee referred to herself as a “solo parent.”
Gee and Archie were married in 2018 in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, and have one child together.
As of now, Archie Alemania has not issued any statement regarding the separation.
