Heavy rains and flash flooding in Florida have forced officials to moved several polling stations ahead of Election Day.
Governor Ron DeSantis has declared a state of emergency in seven counties along the Atlantic coast as the region experiences historic levels of rainfall.
At least nine polling locations in St. Lucie and Brevard counties have been moved due to flooding concerns and to ensure the safety of election workers and voters.
Palm Bay was among the hardest-hit areas, recording around 22 inches of rain in just 24 hours, triggering water rescues and evacuations.
According to the National Weather Service, several roads remain impassable due to severe flooding, with some areas expected to take days to recover as the ground remains saturated.
Additional showers are expected through Tuesday, although forecasters say the worst of the rainfall has already passed.
Meanwhile, severe flooding has also affected parts of Arizona, Utah, and Colorado following a powerful Pacific storm, with at least two deaths reported in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Authorities in Arizona and Utah have also declared states of emergency to mobilize resources and assist affected communities.
