Gabriela labeled the resignation of Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, and Undersecretary Adrian Bersamin as mere “damage control.”
According to the group, the officials stepped down to divert public attention away from what they call the real “masterminds” behind corruption in the government.
Gabriela Secretary-General Clarice Palce asserted that it should be “Commander-in-Thief Marcos and VP Sara Duterte” who must resign next.
She claimed President Bongbong Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte are the “king and queen of corruption” in what she described as a rotten government.
Because of this, the group urged Filipinos to unite and use their collective power to remove both the president and vice president from office.
Palce emphasized that the people have the power to oust them, saying it is time for the public to stand firm and demand accountability.
She added that the public will not stop until Marcos and Duterte are removed from office and held fully accountable for the alleged crimes committed against the country.
