Escudero says Senate is ready for the impeachment

Senate President Chiz Escudero said the Senate is ready to serve as impeachment court in case the impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte reach them.

Escudero however cannot answer if they still have time for it since they barely have six session days left before Christmas break on December 18 and 24 session days before 19th Congress ends.

The Senate President however clarified that the impeachment process is unique because they can still hold the impeachment proceedings even if they are on adjournment or session break.
