DILG: PNP will fulfill its duty if ICC issues arrest warrant vs Dela Rosa

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has confirmed that authorities are closely monitoring Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.

This comes as the senator has yet to appear in the Senate following reports that the International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued a warrant of arrest against him.

According to DILG Undersecretary Donnie Puno, they continue to keep track of the senator’s whereabouts. He added that they are confident the Philippine National Police (PNP) will carry out its mandate should the ICC formally issue a warrant of arrest for Dela Rosa, its former chief.

Puno stressed that the PNP is a professional organization with a sworn duty, and the DILG is confident its members will fulfill that responsibility.
