A 44-year-old mother of nine was arrested after authorities allegedly found a packet of suspected shabu in her possession during a police patrol operation on March 27.
The suspect, identified as “Jenny,” a resident of Barangay Calamba, was apprehended by officers from Labangon Police Station while they were conducting a routine roving patrol along A. Lopez Street, Barangay Labangon, Cebu City, at around 8:30 p.m.
During an interview, Jenny admitted that this was her second arrest. She claimed she resorted to illegal activities to provide for her nine children, alleging that her husband, a construction worker, does not support them financially.
Authorities have taken Jenny into custody, and she now faces charges related to illegal drug possession. Investigations are ongoing.
