Three young siblings killed in Cebu City house fire

A devastating fire in Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City, claimed the lives of three young siblings after they were trapped inside their burning home on the morning of March 29.

The victims, aged 6, 4, and 3, were left under their father’s care while their mother was at work. According to initial reports, the father briefly stepped away to retrieve his e-bike, a routine task, leaving the children near their residence. However, the children somehow returned to the house before the fire broke out.

Grieving parents now question how their children ended up inside the home and express frustration over their neighbors’ lack of assistance. They claim that despite the thin partition separating the houses, no one attempted to save their children.

The Cebu City Fire Office reported that 25 houses were affected by the blaze. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the total damage.
