Filipino celebrities Barbie Imperial and Richard Gutierrez have once again sparked online speculation after netizens noticed changes in their Instagram following lists.
The two reportedly appeared to have unfollowed each other on the social media platform, prompting fans and followers to question whether the couple had called it quits or was going through a rough patch.
The move quickly fueled breakup rumors online, with netizens closely monitoring the pair’s social media activity.
However, the speculation appeared to die down after fans noticed that Imperial and Gutierrez had followed each other again on Instagram.
Some netizens speculated that the incident may have stemmed from a simple misunderstanding or a minor disagreement between the two, while others joked that their relationship status was once again being tracked through their social media accounts.
Imperial and Gutierrez first drew public attention in 2024 after they were spotted together on several occasions.
In January 2025, Gutierrez confirmed that he and Imperial had grown close. He also clarified that there was no overlap between his relationship with Imperial and his previous relationship with Sarah Lahbati.
