Voter registration for the 2026 BSKE reach 1.3M

The number of Filipinos who have registered for the 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) continues to rise.

Based on data released by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) over the weekend, the total number of registrants has surpassed 1.3 million.

Of this figure, more than 700,000 are women, while over 600,000 are men.

More than 1 million of the registrants are regular voters, or those aged 18 and above, while around 300,000 registered as Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) voters.

The 1.3 million registrants recorded by the agency is already close to its target for the 2026 BSKE.

Earlier, Comelec said it expects the number of new voters for the 2026 BSKE to reach 1.4 million.
