Irerepresenta ni multi-awarded director na si Lav Diaz ang Pilipinas sa 76th Locarno Film Festival na gaganapin sa Switzerland sa darating na Agosto.
Inanusyo ito ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) kasabay ang pagbati sa direktor.
Ang ‘Essential Truths of the Lake’ ay parte ng Concorso Internazionale o main competition section ng naturang festival.
Tampok sa pelikula ang mga kilalang artista na sina John Lloyd Cruz, Shaina Magdayao, Agot Isidro, Hazel Orencio, at Bart Guingona.
